2023 Presidential Election Details

After the 6months window of campaigns, as provided by electoral umpire INEC, the presidential and national assembly elections have been slated for the 25th of February 2023.
The major actors within the political scene, have had their candidates and campaign teams traverse the length and breadth of the country, visiting the 37 states of the Federation.
However, of the 18 political parties that are recognized by INEC to contest for the highest office in the land, only 4 of them have been recognized by the polity, as the front runners leading up to the presidential polls.
They are the incumbent All Progressives congress (APC), the opposition parties - Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labor Party (LP) and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP). Following the political debates, banters and melodramatic scenes of the campaigns, it is with great enthusiasm that the world looks on to see, who would emerge as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Worthy to note however, that many are concerned about a hitch free and fair, transparent elections.
In view of this contest, it remains one that promises to produce some nail-biting moments, as some of the contestants lay claim to various political strongholds, within the 6 geo-political zones of the North-East, North-West, North-Central, South-East, South-South & South-West. Some pundits envisage a run-off.
Therefore, this platform is set to provide its audience, the insights, and intrigues of the election day, representing the collated results as published by INEC, in a structured manner, that allows for a well-balanced interpretation of the process.

- Ran as Presidential Candidate 5 times unsuccessfully (1993, 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019).
